2. Service Description

Tuition.com.sg is a matching and lead generation platform that connects students and parents with private tutors in Singapore. We:

• Provide a platform for users to submit tuition requests
• Match requests with suitable registered tutors
• Facilitate initial connections between students/parents and tutors

Important: We are NOT a tuition service provider. We do not employ tutors, provide tuition services, or guarantee specific outcomes.

3. User Eligibility

You must:

• Be at least 18 years of age, or have parental/guardian consent if under 18
• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts in Singapore

4. Our Services and Limitations

4.1 What We Do

• Process tuition requests and match them with registered tutors
• Share your contact information with matched tutors (with your consent)
• Provide a platform for tutor profiles and comparison
• Facilitate initial communication between parties

4.2 What We Do NOT Do

• Employ or directly provide tutors
• Guarantee tutor qualifications, performance, or results
• Control or supervise tutoring sessions
• Handle payment transactions between students and tutors
• Provide refunds for tuition services (this is between you and the tutor)
• Accept liability for tutor conduct or teaching outcomes

5. User Responsibilities

5.1 When Requesting Tuition

• Provide accurate information about your tuition needs
• Respond promptly to tutor inquiries
• Conduct your own due diligence when selecting a tutor
• Negotiate terms, rates, and arrangements directly with tutors
• Ensure safety measures during tuition sessions (especially for home tuition)

5.2 Your Relationship with Tutors

Any agreement you enter into with a tutor is directly between you and the tutor. Tuition.com.sg is not a party to this agreement and bears no responsibility for:

• Payment disputes
• Teaching quality or academic results
• Tutor conduct or professionalism
• Cancellations or schedule changes
• Personal disputes or conflicts

6. Fees and Payments

Our Platform is free for students and parents to submit tuition requests and receive tutor matches. We may charge tutors for access to our platform and leads.

All tuition fees are negotiated and paid directly between you and your chosen tutor. We do not collect tuition fees on behalf of tutors.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on Tuition.com.sg, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is our property or licensed to us and protected by Singapore intellectual property laws.

You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without permission
• Scrape or extract data from our Platform
• Use our branding or trademarks without authorization

8. Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

• Provide false or misleading information
• Use the Platform for illegal purposes
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or compromise our systems
• Spam or send unsolicited commercial communications
• Circumvent our matching system to avoid fees (for tutors)
• Impersonate others or create fake accounts

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

9.1 Service "As Is"

Our Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• Specific matching results or tutor availability
• Tutor qualifications, quality, or performance
• Academic improvement or specific outcomes

9.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, Tuition.com.sg, its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Issues arising from your relationship with tutors
• Tutor misconduct, negligence, or breach of agreement
• Academic results or lack thereof
• Personal injury or property damage during tuition sessions

Our total liability shall not exceed SGD $100.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tuition.com.sg from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of our Platform
• Your relationship with tutors
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights

11. Privacy and Data Protection

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). By using our Platform, you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our Platform at any time, without notice, for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Misuse of our services
• Any reason at our sole discretion

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.

Before initiating legal proceedings, parties agree to attempt good faith negotiations to resolve disputes.

15. Severability
